Welcoming a new family member
The days are long, but these moments are fleeting. Let's capture them.
Newborns change more in their first few weeks than at any other stage of life. While the early days of parenthood often feel like a sleepless blur, professional photography freezes the details that memory alone might lose: the tiny scale of their hands, the soft peach fuzz on their skin, and the quiet peace of their first days. These images aren't just photos; they are the only way to return to the beginning of your story once the "long days" have faded into the past.

Not sure when to take your newborn photos?
DON'T WORRY no one is really ready
Ideally; the golden time to schedule
To capture those sleepy, curled-up poses and that "newborn magic," the ideal time for a session is between 5 and 14 days old. During this short window, babies are typically more flexible, sleep more deeply, and haven't yet entered the stage of newborn acne or colic. However, if your little one is already a bit older, don't worry—while the "curly" poses are best done early, any time is a good time to document your baby’s unique personality and growth.
Realistically; Whatever works for you
Let's face it, no matter how much you plan and plan nothing ever goes exactly how you imagined it so don't put too much pressure into this experience. I know you want to get it right but the point is to enjoy it throughout the years so wether your "newborn" is 2 days old or 8 weeks I would love to capture that moment in time.

Tips for your newborn session
- Try to feed your baby right before the session so they have a full tummy and are ready to drift off.
Keep them active: If possible, try to keep your baby awake for an hour or two before the session so they are ready for a deep nap once the clicking starts.
- White Noise: We will use a white noise machine to mimic the sounds of the womb and help the baby stay in a deep sleep.
- Patience is key: Newborn sessions are baby-led. We take plenty of breaks for feeding, changing, and soothing.
Safety first: Your baby’s safety is my priority. I will never force a pose and will always use "spotting" techniques for more intricate shots.
